When the Hoyas returned to campus from New York City as the Big East champs, they awaited the NCAA selection show that would announce the tournament brackets and the road Georgetown would have to travel to Atlanta. Assembling on Sunday afternoon in Leo's (as the campus dining hall has been pithily dubbed), the team joined with family, friends, and fans to watch the television broadcast of the show. Nervous energy and anticipation filled the room. When the results were revealed, cheers and smiles abounded: a Thursday matchup in Winston-Salem against Belmont University.
