The Dr. Charles P. Melone Sr. Endowed Athletic Scholarship comes from the generosity of Georgetown Regent and donor, Charles P. Melone, Jr., C'64, M'69, of New York in honor of his father. This scholarship is intended for a student who participates in intercollegiate athletics and is simultaneously enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and preferably has an interest in pre-med. The scholarship can be awarded as need or athletic based or both. There are no academic preferences attached to the Scholarship.

The scholarship can be given to one athlete or broken up among two or more athletes.
