Women's soccer parents L. Edward, C'66 and Irene Shaw of Mamaroneck, New York donated this fund in October of 1997. Their three daughters, Hope, C'94, Julia, C'98, and Holly, C'98all played for Georgetown in the early 1990s. Ed and Irene have both served on the Athletics Committee of the Board of Regents.

The fund is intended for scholarships for one or more recruited undergraduate students participating in the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer program at Georgetown or to support an assistant coach. The scholarships will be awarded in consultation with the Director of Athletics, Women's Soccer Coach, and Director of Financial Aid. The scholarships can be given to one athlete or broken up among two or more athletes.
