May 14, 2007 Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University coed sailing team has vaulted from eighth to No. 3 in the nation in the final SailingWorld college poll of the 2006-07 season. St. Mary's moved from No. 2 into the top spot, while Boston College slide up to second in the country. Meanwhile, the Hoya women held steady at No. 7 in the country in the women's poll. St. Mary's also sits on top of the women's poll. The women return to the water on May 23-25 for the ICSA Women's National Championships, hosted by Old Dominion University. Georgetown looks to build off its best finish ever last season, placing second in the field. The coed squad will get back into competition on May 30-June 1 for the ICSA Coed Fleet Racing National Championship, hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy. Like the women's championship last year, the Hoyas were also second in the coed national championship in 2006.
