Washington, D.C. - Four Hoya divers competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference swimming and diving championships last weekend held at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. The women finished in 14th place while the men took home a 15th place finish, both out of 23 schools.
Sophomore diver Kelcey Moore (Arlington, Va./The Madeira School) finished in fourth and sixth place in the one meter and three meter diving events, respectively. Fellow sophomore Katie Oldham (Verdi, Nev./McQueen) finished in eighth and 11th place in the three meter and one meter diving events, respectively.
For the men, senior diver Santini Reali (Sarasota, Fla./Pine View) finished in ninth place of the three meter diving event with fellow senior Doug Curran (St. Louis, Mo./DeSmet Jesuit) right behind him in 10th place. In the one meter, Curran took ninth place with Reali close behind in 10th place.
This event concluded the 2005-06 Georgetown swimming and diving schedule. The women finished the season with a 7-5 dual meet record, the men finished 4-7 in dual meets. The Georgetown swimming and diving program set seven new records this season; six individual and one relay event. New records include the 100 and 200 yard backstroke, 1650 and 1000 freestyle, 200 butterfly, one meter diving and the 200 medley relay.
