Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University Director of Athletics Bernard Muir announced today that due to the outbreak of norovirus on campus, Georgetown will not participate in or host any portion of the Potomac Relays on Friday.

"Because several members of the team have been infected and others have been exposed, and because the infection is contagious, after discussion between medical personnel and with the athletic administration at American University, the decision has been made not to participate in or host any portion of the meet. A make-up date has not been reached at this time."
