The Hoyas (18-12) defeated the Terriers of Boston University (20-9) by a score of 64-34 at the MCI Center on 3/16/05. In a game which saw every Hoya play, Darrel Owens and Jeff Green paced all scorers with 17 points. Darrel hit 6 of 8 from the field and 5 of 7 from beyond the arc while pulling down 5 boards and dishing out 4 assists. While DJ was scoring from the outside, BIG EAST Co-Rookie of the Year Jeff Green hit 7 of 10 from the inside. He also led all rebounders with 7 boards and did all of his damage in only 27 minutes of playing time.

The Hoyas led by 3, 12-9 with 10:47 remaining when Georgetown shifted gears and left BU in the dust with a 20-2 scoring burst. The score was 32-11 with 4:48 remaining in the half. At intermission the score was 34-15. For the half GU shot 51.9% while holding the Terriers to 22.2%

In the second half BU twice cut their deficit to 15 before the game got away. Georgetown built the lead up to 22 with 12:14 remaining, at 09:12 the Hoyas lead was 25, with 00:43 remaining the lead was 32. The final was 64-34. The game involved all 14 of the Hoya players.

For the game GU shot 44.8% from the field while holding their opponents to 23.6%. Rebounding was even (38 boards each) but the Hoyas forced 14 turnovers while giving up 10.
