Georgetown Men's Basketball All-Century Team Announced at Halftime of Saturday's Game

Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University men's basketball program continued its 100 years celebration during this afternoon's contest with Marquette. At halftime, the Georgetown athletic department recognized the All-Century team with a celebration on the Verizon Center floor.

The halftime ceremony began with the over 100 Georgetown basketball alumni in attendance, walking out and surrounding the court. After an extended applause, the lights went out for the announcement of the Georgetown Basketball All-Century Team. The ceremony was highlighted by the announcement of four-time All-American and 1985 National Player of the Year, Patrick Ewing, who was the last former Hoya great to welcomed onto the floor.

The team is made up of 25 players covering the three "Eras" of Georgetown Basketball - Vintage Era (1907-39), Classic Era(1940-72) and Modern Era (1972-present) - and was determined based on a fan vote throughout the beginning of the Hoyas' season on the GUHoyas100.com web site.
