Hoyas Fall to Seton Hall

2/27/2004

Georgetown (13-12, 4-10) lost at the Continental Airlines Arena to Seton Hall (19-7, 9-5), by a score of 48-75.  Brandon Bowman scored his fourth double-double, pouring in 20 points to pace the Hoyas scoring and grabbing 11 caroms to lead all rebounders. Brandon proved to be the only Hoyas in double figures as leading scorer Gerald Riley posted his 8 points from the sin stripe.

The Hoyas were cold from the field, hitting only 3 of 22 and posting only 14 points in the first half. The season lows did nothing to quiet the 11,302 at the Continental Airlines Arena celebrating Seton Hall’s senior night.

In the second stanza Georgetown more than doubled their shooting percentage from 13.6% to 37.0%. Unfortunately, their comfortable lead and vocal support enabled Seton Hall to raise their shooting from 34.6% to 63.2%. Each team committed 14 turnovers and GU lost the battle of the boards 29-36
