Brandon Bowman to Participate in NABC All-Star Game
March 28, 2006 Brandon Bowman, a senior forward who led Georgetown University to the "Sweet 16" and a record of 23-10 will participate in the National Association of Basketball Coaches' annual All Star game over the Final Four weekend in Indianapolis.
Bowman finished third on the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds for the Hoyas this season.
Bowman, who started all 126 games during his career, finished his career ranked 12th all-time on Georgetown's scoring charts with 1,548 points. When he passed the 1,500-point mark - tying the team's season-high with 25 points against Notre Dame during the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament, he became one of only six players in program history to score as many points and grab at least 700 rebounds.
He finished his career at Georgetown averaging 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds. The NABC All Star game has been a fixture of the Basketball Coaches Convention since the year 2000. The game features a match-up of College All Stars vs the Harlem Globetrotters.
