Georgetown's Rivers to Transfer

Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University Men's Basketball Head Coach John Thompson III announced today that sophomore guard Jeremiah Rivers (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park) is transferring to another (as yet unspecified) school.

"Jeremiah and his family made a decision and determined this was best for him," Thompson said. "We appreciate his hard work and wish him best in his future endeavors."

Rivers appeared in 68 games during his career, averaging 1.9 points and 1.9 rebounds. As a sophomore in 2007-08, he played in all 34 games, averaging 2.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game.
