Georgetown University’s Men’s Basketball Head Coach Craig Esherick announces the hiring of Chuck Driesell as an assistant coach for the Hoyas. Chuck was the head men’s basketball coach at Marymount University for six years and previously served as an assistant at James Madison University for nine years.

I have known and watched Chuck work for many years and I am very excited to add someone with his knowledge and enthusiasm to the Georgetown family,” states Coach Esherick.

Chuck is the son of the legendary former Maryland coach Charles “Lefty” Driesell, who recently retired from college coaching. Chuck is a 1985 graduate from the University of Maryland where he played four years of basketball for his father.
