WASHINGTON, D.C. - Georgetown Crew's Men's Varsity Heavyweight Eight earned ECAC Crew of the Week honors for a first place showing against George Washington on the Potomac River this past weekend.

In "The Duel", Georgetown  edged GW in a time of 2:48.4, just .2 seconds faster than the Colonials.  The schools raced the best of five 1000m pieces with a tail current and very little wind.

Georgetown crew competes in the EARC Sprints on Sunday, May 11 on Lake Quinsigamond.
