WORCESTER, MASS. (May 21) - Georgetown sent its Lightweight Eights men's crew teams to compete in the Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges Sprints which was held on May 21 at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The team's best finish came from the Varsity Lightweight Eights which posted a second place time of 6:06.34 in the Petite Finals race. They clocked in 3.32 seconds faster than their preliminary time of 6:09.66. GU's Second Varsity Lightweight Eights finished fourth in its Petite Finals race with a time of 6:30.95. The Freshman Lightweight Eights also claimed fourth in the Petite Finals crossing the finish line in 6:35.66. The Hoya Second Freshman Lightweight Eights, which did not qualify for a spot in the finals, clocked in at 6:45.92 during its preliminary heat. Georgetown's Heavyweight and Lightweights men's crew teams move on to the 98th Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta which will take place at Camden, N.J., June 1-3.
