Men's Crew Shows Well At IRA Regatta

CAMDEN, N.J. - Georgetown's men's varsity crew team competed in the 98th Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Regatta on June 1-3 in Camden, N.J.

The Hoyas came in second place in both the Men's Freshman Four with Cox and the Men's Varsity Four with Cox. The Freshman Four finished second in the Grand Final with a time of 6:49.17. The Men's Varsity Four also came in second in its Grand Final crossing the finish line in 6:43.78.

In the Men's Open Four with Cox the Hoyas team won the Petite Finals finishing the event in 7:03.00. Another first place came from the Hoyas' Varsity Lightweight Eight winning its Petite Final with a 6:09.19 time.

The Men's Varsity Pair with out Cox claimed fourth place in its Petite Finals race with a time of 8:01.82.

GU also had two teams in the Varsity Four with out Cox. The Georgetown A team came in fourth place in the 3rd Level Final with a 6:52.3 race. Georgetown B finished the 3rd Level Final in 6:54.64.
