Women's Club Eight Open Places Eighth At Head Of The Schuykill

Three Hoya boats finish in top ten in men's frosh/novice eights.

WASHINGTON D.C. - On Saturday, October 30, Georgetown's crew traveled to Philadelphia, Pa. to participate in the Head of the Schuylkill. In the women's club eight open, GU came in eighth with a time of 16:52.22. In the men's four with coxswain, GU finished 28th (17:11.00), while the women's four with coxswain finished sixth (17:26.77) and 25th (19:38.09).

In the men's frosh/novice eights, GU had three boats place in the top ten in seventh (15:08.08), eighth (15:19.40) and 10th (15:33.79) places, respectively. Georgetown also took the fourth and 11th spots in the women's frosh/novice with times of 17:16.27 and 17:48.03, respectively. In the men's lightweight eights, the blue and gray had their top finish in sixth place (13:55.31); GU's other boat came in 20th with a time of 15:01.38.

GU's last competition was in the men's championship eights. The Hoyas claimed the 18th (14:04.04) and 25th (14:36.28) spots.
