Georgetown's Van Fleet Selected to National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society

Georgetown University senior football player Kyle Van Fleet (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) picked up another honor before graduation. Van Fleet, who earned numerous national and regional honors in his final season on the Hilltop, was selected to the National Football Foundation's (NFF) 2008 Hampshire Honor Society.

Georgetown Football Announces Newcomers for 2008 Season

Georgetown University Head Football Coach Kevin Kelly has announced that 32 student-athletes will join the Hoya program this fall for the 2008 season. The newcomers come from 16 different states, including five from Texas, four from Connecticut, Ohio and New Jersey. There are also two from Florida, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania and one apiece from Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Rhode Island, Virginia and Wisconsin.

On Tuesday, April 29, Brent Tomlinson and Hoyas for Christ, with support from the Georgetown Athletics administration, will sponsor the 1st Annual Prayer Breakfast at McDonough Arena from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The keynote speaker for the event will be Matt Stover, the Pro Bowl kicker for the 2001 Super Bowl Champions Baltimore Ravens.
