Adam Banks is in his second season as a full-time assistant coach with the Georgetown football program, but his third year on Coach Kelly's staff.
Banks was promoted to a full-time assistant in May 2008 after spending his first season as a defensive assistant. In his third year on the Hilltop, Banks will oversee the wide receivers and slots, while assisting Kelly with recruiting efforts.
A four-year letterwinner from 2001-04, Banks played defensive back. He finished his career in 2004 after appearing in 47 games, registering 84 tackles (61 solo), six interceptions and 13 pass deflections.
Following his graduation from Georgetown, Banks interned at The Potomac School in Virginia, working in the athletic department offices and serving as a coach for the football, basketball and track and field teams.
Banks, who earned his bachelor's degree in English, finished a Master's of Education in professional studies from Marymount University in Arlington, Va. in July 2007.
