Georgetown Football Game at Colgate Cancelled

Oct. 6, 2008

Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University Director of Athletics Bernard Muir announced today that due to the outbreak of norovirus on campus, the football game at Colgate on Saturday at 1 p.m. will not be played.

"Because several members of the team have been infected and others have been exposed, and because the infection is contagious, after discussion between medical personnel at both universities and with Colgate's athletic administration and the Patriot League, the decision has been made not to play the game. A make-up date has not been reached at this time.
