Georgetown Summer Journals - Week One

June 5, 2006

Welcome! This is the first of a weekly journal that will discuss football issues working out, 7-on-7s, and the general tone of the summer in DC from June-August. We started our training officially this weekend kicking it off with a 7-on-7 versus Howard in which we tied. There were some impressive showings and subsequent contests will prove to be more impressive. The weightlifting and conditioning sessions kicked off today. All of our sessions will begin at 6:15pm and end somewhere near 8:15pm, except on Fridays when we will workout at 6:00am. Today our conditioning consisted of a lot of plyometircs and seven flights of the Village C West steps. Well, this is where it begins. I look forward to reporting more to you soon.

Peace,

Roosevelt J. Donat (C'07)
