WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Georgetown sophomore Jamarr Staples (Roanoke, Va./Milton Hershey) ran for three touchdowns, but it wasn't enough as Holy Cross defeated the Hoyas in Washington, D.C., 38-22. Two plays later, Michael Gillis scored on a one-yard plunge as Holy Cross took a 21-14 lead. Georgetown went three plays and out their next two offensive possesions and Holy Cross was able to put together a 62-yard drive capped off by a 43-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter. Georgetown was held scoreless until the 5:26 mark of the fourth quarter when Staples capped a 50-yard drive with a one-yard run.
