Junior Tim Hager (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock North) earned All-BIG EAST honors and Georgetown posted its best round of the tournament with a 10-over par 298 and the Hoyas finished eighth of 12 teams at the BIG EAST Championship, held at the Traditions Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

Georgetown finished with a 54-hole total score of 44-over par 908, 34 strokes off the pace of Marquette, who won at 10-over par 874. Louisville placed second at 12-over par 876, followed by Seton Hall (23-over par 887), Notre Dame (25-over par 889) and St. John's in fifth place (29-over par 893). South Florida placed sixth (39-over par 903) and DePaul took seventh (41-over par 905) followed by the Hoyas.

Marquette senior Ted Gray fired a five-under par 211 to claim individual honors by five strokes over Keegan Bradley of St. John's. Gray had posted back-to-back rounds of four-under par 68 followed by a three-over par 75 in the final round on Tuesday.

Hager fired a team-best one-under par 71 in the final round and tied for seventh place overall at four-over par 200. He earned All-BIG EAST honors by finishing among the top-10 overall.

Sophomore Vincenzo Salina (Vandoeuvres, Switzerland/Institut Florimont) tied for 28th place at 10-over par 226 after shooting a two-over par 74.

Senior David Praet (Oakland Township, Mich./Notre Dame Prep) shot a four-over par 76 and tied for 33rd place at 14-over par 230, while junior Garrett Logan (Henderson, Nev./Bishop Gorman) finished in a tie 36th place at 16-over par 232. Junior Patrick Sherry (Brookeville, Md./Landon) finished in 57th place at 24-over par 240.
