With four players posting scores to finish among the top-20 individuals, Miami (Ohio) University fired a three-over par 287 and leads the 12-team field at the Georgetown Intercollegiate after the first round of play at The Members Club at Four Streams.

The first round of play was delayed by more than two hours due to frost. Teams eventually teed off starting at 10:30 a.m., but because of the delay, the tournament has been shortened from 54 holes to 36 holes.

Miami finished with an 18-hole score of three-over par 287 and holds a four-stroke lead over Richmond, second at seven-over par 291. The College of William & Mary and Campbell University are tied for third place at 11-over par 295, Minnesota stands in fifth place at 12-over par 296 and the Hoyas are tied for sixth place with St. Joseph's at 13-over par 297.

St. Joseph's sophomore Jim Ridgway fired a two-under par 69 and leads the field of 71 golfers, holding a two-stroke lead over William & Mary senior Doug Hurson and Miami senior Aaron Crist, who are tied for second place at one-under par 70.

Crist's round was the best for the RedHawks, who had three other golfers among the top-20 overall. Senior Ben Bastel and Anthony Cordes are tied for eighth place at one-over par 72, while sophomore Nathan Sutherland is tied for 14th place at two-over par 73.

Junior Vincenzo Salina (Vandoeuvres, Switzerland/Institut Florimont) and freshman Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo.) led Georgetown, each posting scores of two-over par 73 to tied for 14th place.

Senior Garrett Logan (Henderson, Nev./Bishop Gorman) is tied for 27th place at four-over par 75, sophomore Brandon Ellis (Westerville, Ohio/St. Francis de Sales) is tied for 36th place at five-over par 76 and senior Tim Hager (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock North) is tied for 46th place at six-over par 77.

Tuesday's final round is expected to tee off at approximately 9:30 a.m.
