Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University men's golf team shot an eight-over par 292 in the first round and a 12-over par 296 in the second round and is in fourth place with a 36-hole total of 20-over par 588 at the 23rd Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate, being held at The Members Club at Four Streams. The 54-hole tournament finishes up with 18 holes on Tuesday morning. Teams will start play at 8:30 a.m. DePaul, paced by a first round score of five-under par 279, leads the 12-team field with a five-over par 563, six strokes better than St. John's (one-over par 569) and nine better than Richmond (four-over par 572). Georgetown is fourth at 20-over par 588, with William and Mary rounding out the top-five at 25-over par 593. Mike Ballo of St. John's and Greg Doherty each carded rounds of three-under par 68 in the second round and are tied for the individual lead at four-under par 138. Cory Blenkush of DePaul and Hunter Townsend of Richmond, who fired a tournament-best five-under par 66 in the afternoon session, are tied for third place at one-under par 141. Georgetown sophomore Vincenzo Salina is tied for eighth place at one-over par 143 after posting rounds of one-over par 72 and even par 71. Junior Tim Hager (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) is tied for 16th place at three-over par 145, while sophomore Garrett Logan (Henderson, Nev./Bishop Gorman) is tied for 25th place at six-over par 148. Four Streams is a member-owned Club. The 7,100 yard championship course is designed by world renowned player Nick Price and architect Steve Smyers. The Members Club at Four Steams is the first signature design in the United States from the renowned Price/Smyers Golf Course Design Group.
