Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University men's golf team shot a 23-over par 307 in the third and final round and finished in sixth place with a 54-hole total of 43-over par 895 at the 23rd Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate, being held at The Members Club at Four Streams. DePaul, paced by a first round score of five-under par 279, finished first among the 12-team field with a two-under par 850, four strokes better than Richmond (two-over par 854) and 12 better than St. John's (10-over par 862). Detroit Mercy was fourth at 40-over par 892, with William and Mary rounding out the top-five at 42-over par 894. Hunter Townsend of Richmond and Greg Doherty of DePaul each finished with a three-round total of 209 (four-under par) and went to a playoff, where Townsend came away victorious. Jordan Utley of Richmond shot a third day 69 and finished at two-under for the tournament, while Cory Blenkush of DePaul shot a 71 and finished one-under for the two days and Evan Beirne of St. John's rounded out the top five with a 67 on Tuesday to finish even par. Georgetown sophomore Vincenzo Salina finished tied for 10th place at four-over par 217 after posting rounds of one-over par, even par, and three-over par. Sophomore Garrett Logan (Henderson, Nev./Bishop Gorman) ended the tournament tied for 19th after shooting an eight-over par 221 and junior Tim Hager (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) wound up tied for 28th place at 12-over par 225. Four Streams is a member-owned Club. The 7,100 yard championship course was designed by world renowned golfer Nick Price and architect Steve Smyers. The Members Club at Four Steams is the first signature design in the United States from the Price/Smyers Golf Course Design Group.
