March 27, 2002 Williamsburg, Va.-In the first spring golf match of the season, the Georgetown University men’s golf team finished in 8th place at the William and Mary Invitational. The tournament was played at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg, Virginia and was hosted by William and Mary. Sophomore Nick Cook (Shelton, Conn./Fairfield Prep) led the team with a score of 144, finishing in a tie for fifth place with Barry Londeree of James Madison. As a team, the Hoyas shot a 612. Senior Cody Courbier (Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades) shot a 150 and came in 21st place while senior Tristan Lewis (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Western Reserve Academy) shot a 157 for the tournament. Sophomore Brian Lafferty (Winnetka, Ill/Loyola Academy) shot a 161 and senior Andreas Huber (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) shot a 175 in the tournament. The Hoyas next competition will take place on the weekend of April 6-7, at the Navy Spring Invitational at the Navy Golf Club in Annapolis, Maryland. Final Team Results 1.
