Men’s Golf to Participate in 2002 BIG EAST Championship

Georgetown’s men’s golf team will be seeded sixth in the 2002 BIG EAST Championship. The Championship will be played this weekend on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21. Notre Dame is the host institution and the Championship will be held in Notre Dame, Ind. at the Warren Golf Course.

Georgetown has posted top 10 finishes in its last six outings. Last weekend GU placed ninth in the Princeton Invitational. Currently the Hoyas are ranked 13 in District II by Golfweek.com. Sophomore Nick Cook (Shelton, Conn./Fairfield Prep) leads the team with a 74.80 scoring average and senior Tristan Lewis (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Western Reserve Academy)) is second (76.96).
