Georgetown B Team Finishes Fourth at Gettysburg Spring Invite

May 1, 2001

April 3, 2001 -- The Georgetown University "B" team participated in the Gettysburg Spring Invitational and finished fourth in the eight team field. The tournament was played at the Gettysburg Country Club. Freshman Adam McBride (Chevy Chase, Md./Landon) led the Hoyas with a 75, which placed him in a four-way tie for second place. Frederick Community College won the event with a team score of 307. Gettysburg's "A" team and York each fired a 315. GU had a 318.

Three different Hoyas shot 81 on the day. They were freshman James Farrah (Potomac, Md./Georgetown Prep) and seniors David Knott (Stratford, Conn./Fairfield Prep) and Andrew Mingle (Arlington, Mass./Belmont Hill). Brian Lafferty shot an 83 on the day and was Georgetown's fifth scorer.
