Nick Cook fires a 147 to lead the Hoyas
WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Georgetown University golf team played in the James Madison Invitational and finished 12th in the tournament. The event took place at Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg, Va. James Farrah (Potomac, Md./Fairfield Prep) was the top finisher for the Hoyas. The freshman fired a 151, tying him for 28th place overall. St. John's won the tournament with a score of 584, defeating Rutgers by three strokes. JMU finished in third place. As a team, Georgetown shot had a 610 overall, including a score of 301 on day two. Junior Cody Courbier (Coconut Grove, Fla./Ransom Everglades), senior Dan Giraudo (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius) and freshman Nick Cook (Shelton, Conn./Fairfield Prep) all finished in a tie for 42nd place overall with a 153. The Hoyas are off until October 6, when they play in the Temple Owl Invitational. The two-day tournament will take place at Glenmaura Country Club in Scranton, Pa.
