Georgetown B Places Fifth at Gettysburg Men’s Golf Invitational

Georgetown’s men’s golf team participated in the 2002 Gettysburg College Fall Men’s Golf Invitational on Tuesday, October 8, and finished fifth overall. Georgetown’s B team ended the day sixteen strokes behind first place Susquehanna, scoring a 318 total for the one-day event.

Five golfers took part in the Invitational for the Hoyas. Sophomore Bob Molina (Skokie, Ill./Loyola) posted the low score of the day for GU with a 76. Adam McBride (Washington, D.C./Landon) carded a 79. The next three Hoya participants were all one stroke from each other as Dom Maggio (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit) shot an 81, Chris Lange (Bryn Mawr, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) hit an 82 and Brian Lafferty (Winnetka, Ill/Loyola Academy) cashed in an 83.

The Hoyas’ suit up next on October 14-15 at the Xavier Invitational at the King’s Island Resort in Cincinnati, Ohio.
