Georgetown Women's Golf set to play in Xavier LPGA Invitational

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown Women's golf team will travel to Daytona, Fla. this weekend to play in the Xavier LPGA Invitational. This is the second year of the Xavier LPGA Invitational. The Invitational will be played at the LPGA International Legends Course; the course is 6,045 yards and is a par-72.

The Musketeers will play host to Barry, Bethune-Cookman, Bowling Green, Charleston Southern, Daytona State College, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Florida Atlantic, Georgetown, Lamar, Mercer, Stetson, Western Michigan and Yale.

This is the Hoyas fourth tournament this season, coming off of a respective finish of tying for seventh out of 12th place at the Badger Invitational, the Hoyas shot a 42-over par 618. Senior Chelsea Curtis (Mashpee, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) led the Hoyas at the Badger Invitational shooting a two-over par 218 tying for second place individually. Curtis won the Princeton Invitational the week before shooting a three-over par 147, and helping the Hoyas place sixth overall respectively at the tournament.

Next up for the Hoyas is the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate October 19 - 21 in Greenville, N.C.
