Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown men's golf team hosts its only tournament of the season early next week, competing in the 24th annual Georgetown Intercollegiate. Georgetown will play host to 11 teams from all over the country. Campbell, DePaul, Detroit, Gonzaga, Miami of Ohio, Minnesota, Richmond, St. John's, St. Joseph's, UNC- Greensboro and William & Mary. Play will start with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, continuing onto Tuesday, Oct. 21. The 54-hole tournament will be held at the Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md. The course is 7,100 yards, and par-72. Last year's team champion of the Intercollegiate was DePaul shooting a two-under par 850. Hunter Townsend from Richmond was the 2007 individual champion shooting a four-under par 209. This is the second-to-last tournament of the fall for the Hoyas.
