The Georgetown University men's soccer team is off to a 1-1 start through one weekend of its Spring, 2008 season. On March 29, the Hoyas traveled four miles north to nearby American University and fell 1-0 to the Eagles on an American penalty kick midway through the first half lifted AU to a 1-0 win. Georgetown wasn't able to hit the back of the net in their spring opener, but newcomer...but newcomer Brandon Pfluger (Carrollton, Texas/Creekview), who enrolled into the University a semester early played a terrific game on the back line of defense. A couple of hours later, Georgetown made its way back to campus for the second game of a doubleheader vs. the University of the District of Columbia. Georgetown led 1-0 at halftime before the Hoyas netted five second half goals for a 6-0 victory. Peter Grasso scored in the first half while in the second half, Grasso tallied again to go along with markers by Chandler Diggs (two goals) Conor Neusel and Ben Slingerland marked the 6-0 win.
