Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University men's soccer team (7-2-1, 2-2-1 BIG EAST) will be back in action on Wednesday at North Kehoe Field after a nine-day midseason break. The Hoyas will face the Seton Hall Pirates in BIG EAST play, the Pirates are 6-6 on the season and 2-3 in the BIG EAST. The Hoyas continue to garner national attention receiving the 25th position in this week's Soccer America national poll. The Hoyas' last outing was a 0-0 tie with Villanova on September 28. The team was scheduled for a week off but did not play last Sunday's game at Notre Dame after an outbreak of norovirus on the GU campus resulting in the nine-day break. The Pirates enter the game with a powerful offense scoring 19 goals on the season. However, Georgetown is ranked as one of the top defensive teams in the country earning the fourth spot in shutout percentage (0.700) and save percentage (0.925). The team is sixth in the nation in GAA with a 0.400 and keeper Mark Wilbur (Tijeras, N.M./Albuquerque Acad.) is 27th in the country with a save percentage of 0.846. Teammate Matthew Brutto (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) has yet to give up a goal this season but is not eligible for an NCAA ranking since he has not played the majority of the team's total minutes on the season. Kickoff at North Kehoe Field is scheduled for 3 p.m. Live stats and web streaming will both be available at www.guhoyas.com.
