Chris Miltenberg returned to his alma mater in July 2007 as an assistant coach for Georgetown's men's and women's track & field and cross country programs. Miltenberg will oversee Georgetown's middle distance and distance student-athletes.

Miltenberg, a two-time All-American and 2003 graduate of Georgetown's Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business, returns to the Hilltop after spending the last three years on the Columbia University track & field staff. He began at Columbia in June 2004 as an assistant coach, working directly with the middle distance and distance runners. He was recently promoted to associate head coach prior to his move to Georgetown.

Under his leadership, the Lions' men's 4x800m relay squad won the Penn Relays Championship of America title, the first win by an Ivy League school in the event since 1974. In addition, Miltenberg has coached nine All-Americans, 15 individual Ivy League champions, 71 All-Ivy League selections and saw 15 school records snapped in his three years with Columbia. While wearing the Blue and Gray, Miltenberg placed fourth at the 2001 NCAA Indoor Championships in both the 3000m and distance medley relay to earn his two All-America accolades. He was the 2001 BIG EAST champion in the mile, while also assisting the Hoyas to four conference team championships in his time on the Hilltop. A two-time captain of the Hoyas, Miltenberg earned three Academic All-America certificates and was the recipient of the James M. Gallagher Memorial Award in 2001 as the team's most outstanding contributor.
