Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown track & field team finished up the second and final day of competition at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Regional Championship hosted by Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla., with solid performances in the Men's and Women's 1500m and the Women's 800m. Junior Andrew Bumbalough (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) and senior Matt Debole (Winston-Salem, N.C./Mount Tabor) were able to place on the men's side while graduate student Elizabeth Maloy (Loudonville, N.Y./The Academy of Holy Names), senior Maggie Infeld (University Heights, Ohio/Beaumont) and classmate Ashley Hubbard (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield) placed on the women's side.

Bumbalough finished second in the Men's 1500m with a time of 3:51.53, his fourth-best time of the spring, and Debole crossed the finish line in eighth with a time of 3:52.70. On the women's side of the 1500m, Infeld recorded a fifth-place finish for the Blue and Gray while Maloy ended the day in seventh. The ladies finished with times of 4:25.88 and 4:26.96, respectively.

The only Georgetown competitor not in the 1500m was Hubbard, who earned a seventh-place finish in the 800m at 2:09.00, her third-best time of the spring season.

At the conclusion of the 800m event, the Hoya women were in ninth place while the Hoya men were in 14th.
