Women's Basketball Hosts Cincinnati in Key BIG EAST Match-up on Tuesday

Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (10-14, 3-10 BE) hosts Cincinnati (16-8, 6-7 BE) in a key BIG EAST match-up on Tuesday at McDonough Arena. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. The game can be seen on www.guhoyas.com with Mike Vaillancourt calling the action.

The Hoyas are currently in 13th place in the BIG EAST standings with three games remaining against teams in the middle of the pack, Cincinnati, Villanova and USF. The league's top 12 teams qualify for the BIG EAST Tournament at the Hartford Civic Center from March 4-7.

Georgetown will be looking to avenge en earlier 87-68 loss to the Bearcats back on January 25.

Quick Notes...

Junior Kate Carlin (Ambler, Pa./Mt. St. Joseph's) has scored in double figures in three straight games for the second time this season. Carlin is averaging 13.3 points during the span, making 11-22 from behind the arc.

Sophomore Kieraah Marlow (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) averaged a double-double last week and earned "doubles" number six and seven on the season. Marlow has 22 pts, 10 rebounds in a home loss vs. No. 16 DePaul before scoring 20 points to go along with 14 rebounds in a loss at Marquette. The Coatesville, Pa. native ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with nine 20-point games this season. Marlow ranks seventh in the league in scoring with 16.2 points and ninth on the circuit making 44.9 percent of her field goals.

Sophomore Kristin Heidloff (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) netted 15 points to go along with nine assists in a loss at Marquette. In the last three games, Heidloff is averaging 11.0 points on 41% shooting, including 7-21 (33%) from three while handing out 18 assists against just three turnovers. Heidloff leads the BIG EAST in assist-to-turnover ratio (+2.29) and ranks third in the league with 4.5 assists per game.

The Hoyas have trailed at halftime in all ten of their BIG EAST losses, while GU has held a lead at intermission in their three BIG EAST victories.
