May 18, 2007

Washington, D.C. - Former Georgetown University All-American Rebekkah Brunson posted game-highs with 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead Dynamo-Moscow past Faenza, 76-56 in the second and final leg of the EuroCup Women's Title during the middle of April in Moscow, Russia.

Brunson helped Dynamo overcome a 35-28 halftime deficit by scoring the first seven points in the third quarter for a 52-50 Dynamo edge after three periods. The Oxon Hill, Md. native tallied nine points in the final quarter as Dynamo outscored their opponents 24-6 in the final quarter.

Brunson ranked second on the team, averaging 14.4 points on 53 percent shooting and paced Dynamo with 9.9 rebounds (9th in the league)

Brunson, who helped the United States to a silver medal in the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is getting ready to participate in her fourth season with the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs.

The former Hoya will accompany her Monarch teammates to the nation's capital when Sacramento takes on the Washington Mystics on Tuesday, May 22 at the Verizon Center. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
