Washington, D.C. - Georgetown Women's Crew will take part in the George Mason Invitational this Sunday, April 6 at the Sandy Run Regional Park in Fairfax, Va. The Hoya lightweight and openweights will compete against George Mason, Bucknell and MIT.

PARENTS & SPECTATORS - Since there will be 6 schools racing on Sunday, the park has deemed this a regatta, so there will be a $10 charge for parking. This is a park rule, not mine, and the money goes to the park, not GMU. So please encourage your supporters to carpool and give them notice about the $10 charge. Spectators will need to park in LOT C or LOT D. These are two large parking lots just inside the main gate to Sandy Run. The best viewing area for spectators is at the grandstands. There is a path located in LOT C that takes you to the grandstands, it is about a 1/2 mile walk. There will also be a 12-passenger van shuttle for handicapped or elderly people. Please inform your spectators NO DOGS & NO GRILLS OR COOKING. The bathrooms will be open at the grandstands.

Directions: To reach Sandy Run, take I-95 south of the Beltway, exit at Lorton Road, turn right on Lorton, turn right on Furnace Road, right again on Ox Road (Route 123), left on Hampton Road, turn left on Van Thompson and follow it to the park entrance.
