Georgetown Women's Novice Four and Eight Take First in Grand Final's

Georgetown's women novice eight and four placed first at the BIG EAST Challenge in Worcester, Mass. The Hoyas second novice eight squad claimed a second-place finish while, in the women's varsity eight petite final, Georgetown picked up another first-place finish, nearly eight seconds in front of second-place UConn.

GU's women's novice eight squad, coxed by Yvonne Montoya (Cathedral City, CA) with rowers Katie Witman (Andover, MA), Molly Dolan (Bainbridge Island, WA), Hanne Jeppsson (Spain), Kate Kennedy (Northfield, MA), Becky O'Neill (San Rafael, CA), Rachel Pacheco (Gardner, MA), Charlene Rosencrance (Great Falls, VA) and Rachel Ryckman (Green River, WY), completed their grand final race in a time of 6:56.84, good for first place.

The Hoya Women take to the water again next weekend vs. Princeton and George Washington at Princeton, N.J.
