Junior Chelsea Curtis (Mashpee, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) is tied for sixth place overall and the Georgetown women's golf team stands in fifth place of 14 teams after the first day of play at the Roar-ee Invitational, being hosted by Columbia University at the Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y.

Brigham Young leads the 14-team field after 36 holes at 70-over par 638, followed by Harvard (83-over par 651), Yale (95-over par 663), Princeton (101-over par 669) and the Hoyas (105-over par 673).

Curtis posted consecutive rounds of 11-over par 82 and is one of three players tied for sixth place at 20-over par 162.

Junior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga) is tied for 13th place at 24-over par 166 and senior Katie Dwyer (Allentown, Pa./Moravian Academy) is tied for 28th place at 29-over par 171.

The final round will be held on Saturday.
