The Georgetown women's golf team had two individuals earn All-BIG EAST honors and the Hoyas shot a 26-over par 314 in the final round to finish in fifth place at the BIG EAST Championships, held at the Elks Run Golf Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Notre Dame topped the seven-team field at 35-over par 899, nine strokes ahead of Louisville, who finished second at 44-over par 908. Cincinnati placed third at 56-over par 920, St. John's was fifth at 69-over par 933 and the Hoyas placed fifth at 73-over par 937.

Georgetown junior Chelsea Curtis (Hyannis, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) shot a five-over par 79 in the final round to lead the Hoyas and finished in a tie for eighth place at 13-over par 229. She earned All-BIG EAST honors along with junior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga), who finished in a tie for 10th place at 15-over par 231.

Senior Katie Dwyer (Allentown, Pa./Moravian Academy) posted a team-best two-over par 74 in the final round and tied for 20th place at 18-over par 234.

Freshman Christine Curley (Vienna, Va./James Madison) finished in 29th place at 33-over par 249 and senior Madeleine Nguyen (Atherton, Calif./Menlo) placed 31st overall at 37-over par 253.

INDIVIDUAL SCORES: 1. Annie Brophy, Notre Dame (74-74-74=222, +6); 2. So-Hyun Park, Notre Dame (74-75-75=224, +8); 3. Cindy LaCrosse, Louisville (74-77-74=225, +9); T4. Kristin Wetzel, Notre Dame (75-76-76=227); T4. Lisa Maunu, Notre Dame (73-76-78=227, +11).
