Owings Mills, Md. - The Georgetown women's golf team trails the rest of the pack after the first two rounds of the 2008 NCAA Fall Women's Preview at Caves Valley Golf Course in Owings Mills, Md. The Hoyas shot a combined team 78-over par 654 on Sunday to head into the final day of the tournament in 15th place. Virginia's Jennie Arseneault shot a six-under par 138 during the first two rounds to take a lead into Monday. Auburn's Candace Schepperle trails Arseneault by one stroke after shooting a five-under par 139. Georgia holds the team lead shooting three-over par, with Virginia trailing by four strokes and Arizona State at 10-over to round out the top three. Concluding the day, seniors Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga) and Chelsea Curtis (Mashpee, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) were the Hoyas individual leaders. Hunt shot a 16-over par 160 and Curtis shot a 19-over par 163 to finish tied for 61st and 66th respectively. Junior Robyn English (Warwick, R.I./St. Mary Academy) finished the day tied for 66th with a 21-over par 165, while freshman Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished two strokes behind with a 25-over par 169, tied for 72nd. Freshman Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) rounded out the Hoya golfers finishing in 74th with a 27-over par 171. After the first round, the Hoyas trailed the pack shooting a 39-over par 327. Jo led the Hoyas in the first round shooting a seven-over par 79 to place 53rd. Curtis was two strokes behind, shooting a nine-over par 81 to place in a tie for 59th after round one. English finished tied for 67th, shooting an 11-over par 83, Hunt finished tied for 71st with a 12-over par 84 and Dulieu finished 73rd with a 13-over par 85. The final round of the 2008 NCAA Fall Women's Preview will be played at Caves Valley Golf Course in Owings Mills, Md. on Monday, September 8, 2008.
