Arizona State placed three individuals among the top-10 finishers overall and the No. 2-ranked Sun Devils won the Duramed NCAA Women's Golf Preview with a combined team score of eight-over par 872 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md. Monday afternoon.

Arizona State entered Monday's final round in third place, seven strokes off the pace, but tied for the tournament low with a two-under par 286 in the third round to capture the team title with a 54-hole score of eight-over par 872. Southern California placed second at 16-over par 880, three strokes ahead of third place finisher Virginia (19-over par 883). Georgia placed fourth (20-over par 884) and Alabama was fifth (22-over par 886), with Oklahoma State (31-over par 895), Auburn (33-over par 897), Duke (34-over par 898), Wake Forest (44-over par 908) and Denver (49-over par 913) rounding out the top-10. Host Georgetown placed 15th at 121-over par 985.

Oklahoma State freshman Caroline Hedwall captured medalist honors, firing a four-under par 212 to top the field of 75 golfers. Hedwall entered the final round in fourth place, but carded a three-under par 69 on Monday.

Arizona State was led by junior Anna Nordqvist, who finished in second place at two-under par 214 and had two rounds of three-under par 69 during the weekend. Sun Devils senior Azahara Munoz tied for fourth place at even-par 216 and classmate Jennifer Osborn tied for ninth place at two-over par 218. Junior Juliana Murcia tied for 25th place at eight-over par 224 and junior Liisa Kelo finished in 60th place with a score of 32-over par 248.

Leading the way for Georgetown were seniors Chelsea Curtis (Mashpee, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) and Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga), who tied for 61st place at 27-over par 243. Sophomore Robyn English (Warwick, R.I./St. Mary Academy) tied for 69th place at 36-over par 252, freshman Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished in 71st place at 37-over par 253 and classmate Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) placed 73rd at 40-over par 256.
