Sept. 21, 2008 Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University senior women's golfer Chelsea Curtis (Mashpee, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) won the first hole of a playoff and captured individual honors, leading the Hoyas to a sixth place finish at the Princeton Women's Golf Invitational, held at the Springdale Golf Club in New Jersey. Georgetown entered Sunday's final round in third place, but shot a 35-over par 323 and fell to sixth place, finishing the 36-hole tournament at 55-over par 631. Harvard shot a 23-over par 311 in the final round and finished at 37-over par 613 to top the 15-team field, edging host Princeton by two strokes (39-over par 615). St. John's (50-over par 626), Columbia (51-over par 627) and Rollins College (53-over par 629) rounded out the top five teams. It was the third individual win of her career for Curtis, who was tied for second place after the first round with an even-par 72. Curtis shot a three-over par 75 in the final round, the second-lowest score of the day, and went into a playoff with Renee Cloutier of St. John's, who held the individual lead after the first round at one-under par 71. Sophomore Robyn English (Warwick, R.I./St. Mary Academy) tied for 17th place at 13-over par 157, senior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga) tied for 24th place at 15-over par 159, freshman Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) tied for 59th place at 24-over par 171 and classmate Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) tied for 71st place at 28-over par 172. Playing as individuals, sophomore Christine Curley (Vienna, Va./James Madison) tied for 57th place at 22-over par 166 and freshman Kelly Rohrbach tied for 71st place at 28-over par 172.
