Georgetown University senior women's golfer Chelsea Curtis (Mashpee, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) posted her second-straight top-five individual finish, leading the Hoya women's golf team to a tie for seventh place at the at the Badger Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin at the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wis. California topped the 12-team field, finishing at 25-over par 889, 13 strokes ahead of host Wisconsin. Minnesota placed third (44-over par 908), Charleston was fourth (48-over par 912) and Tulane place fifth (51-over par 915). Indiana finished in sixth place (56-over par 920), while the Hoyas tied for seventh place with Maryland. Wisconsin freshman Jessie Gerry, who was seven-under par (137) after 36 holes on Saturday, struggled in the final round with a six-over par 78, but was able to hold on for the win, finishing at one-under par 215. Curtis, who was tied for fourth place after the first day of play, shot a two-over par 74 in the final round. The senior, who won the Princeton Invitational last week and advanced to the finals of the North/South Amateur during the summer, finish three strokes off the pace at two-over par 218 to tie for second. Senior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga) shot a three-over par 75 on Sunday, Georgetown's second-best score of the day, and finished in a tie for 24th place at 16-over par 232. Freshman Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) tied for 40th place at 21-over par 237, sophomore Robyn English (Warwick, R.I./St. Mary Academy) tied for 57th place at 27-over par 243 and sophomore Christine Curley (Vienna, Va./James Madison) finished in 63rd place at 36-over par 251.
