Georgetown Women's Golf Sixth Heading into Final Round at Lady Pirate

Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University women's golf team shot a 21-over par 305 in the second round and is in sixth place after the second day of competition at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, being hosted by East Carolina University at the Greenville Country Club in Greenville, N.C.

Georgia State shot a one-over 285 in Monday's second round and leads the 20-team field at 16-over par 584, holding a 13 stroke lead over second place East Carolina (29-over par 597). Miami is third at 31-over par 599, followed by Nebraska (40-over par 608) and Elon (41-over par) to round out the top-five. The Hoyas are one shot behind Elon at 42-over par 610 and hold a seven-stroke lead over Texas-El Paso (49-over par 617).

Senior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga), who was tied for second place after firing a two-over par 73 in the first round, shot a six-over par 77 on Tuesday and is tied for ninth place at eight-over par 150.

Senior Chelsea Curtis (Mashpee, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) posted a six-over par 77 in the second round and is tied for 17th place at 10-over par 152.

Sophomore Robyn English (Warwick, R.I./St. Mary Academy) carded a five-over par 76, and is tied for 20th place at 11-over par 153.

Freshman Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) posted Georgetown's best round of the day, a four-over par 75, and is tied for 33rd place at 13-over par 155, and classmate Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) is tied for 83rd place at 24-over par 166.

The final round of play will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
