4/12/2004 HARRISONBURG, VA – The Georgetown University women’s golf team finished in third place at the 2004 Bonnie Hoover Invitational, held Friday-Sunday, April 9-11, at the Lakeview Country Club in Harrisonburg, Va. Host James Madison won the tournament with three-day score of 894. Maryland took second place with 915, and the Hoyas claimed third with 918. Rounding out the top five finishers, from a field of 16 schools, were Princeton in fourth place with 920 and Ohio University and Penn State tied for fifth place with 931. The Invitational was played on a 6,046-yard, par-72 course. Sophomore Christy Larrimore (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spaulding) once again turned in the Hoyas’ top performance. Larrimore finished with a 226 (76, 75, 75) for 10 over par and a tie for seventh place. Junior Connie Isler (Annapolis, Md./Meade) carded a 227 (74, 76, 77) to tie for 10th place, while freshman Rosalina Ascolani’s (Coronado, Calif./Coronado) 231 (79, 76, 76) tied her for 17th place. Junior Nicole Hayashi (Westlake Village, Calif./Thousand Oaks) was three strokes behind Ascolani with a 234 (78, 78, 78) to tie for 28th place. Sophomore Erin Cockren (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) registered a 242 (83, 80, 79) to tie for 54th place.
