Georgetown responded with another four-goal run in less than two minutes, this time started by Poole. Poole picked up a pass in Connecticut territory, ran almost the length of the field and fired a shot into the cage to give the Hoyas a 6-3 lead at 25:40. Twenty-four seconds later, Chambers struck with an unassisted goal, followed by a tally from senior midfielder Lauren Redler at 24:55. Chambers stepped up with her second goal of the day at 24:16 to put the Hoyas up 10-3.
UConn's Tracy Mullaney made it 10-4 with 23:03 on the clock, off an assist from Burke, but Stanwick capitalized on a free position shot at 21:18, followed by goal from Baschuk at 19:19 to make it 12-4 in favor of Georgetown. Chambers earned the assist on Baschuk's goal. Link notched her second goal of the day for the Huskies at 18:35, but 21 seconds later GU senior attacker Catherine Elbe found the back of the net to push Georgetown's lead to 13-5.
