Washington, D.C. -
Georgetown women's soccer senior midfielder Sara Jordan (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) is currently sixth all-time at Georgetown with 15 career assists and ranks among the Top-10 in career points scored. Jordan is currently tied for the team-lead in goals this season, while being tied for second in assists and second in points. The Hoyas are getting ready to kick-off their BIG EAST season with a home game against Villanova on Friday afternoon. However, before they do, Jordan answered some questions for the Hoya Headliner...
HH - What did you do this summer?
SJ - I took a summer class here at Georgetown for the first few months, then I went home to Indianapolis and mainly just trained and spent a lot of time with my friends from home.
HH - How did you work to prepare for preseason camp?
SJ - I would run in the morning and then later that night I'd do some shooting and footwork. I would do that about every other day. On the days in between I'd practice with a club team and do some form of cross-training (swim or bike). When I was at school for my summer class, I played a lot with Karen [Waskewich], Jade [Higgins], Lindsey [Appezzato], and Vanessa [Joyce].
HH - How excited are you for your final season on the Hilltop?
SJ - I am really excited for this year. We have a lot of talent and we work really well together. At the same time, I'm a little bit sad that my time here at Georgetown is coming to an end.
HH - Being a senior, have you found that you've been able to be a leader for some of the younger kids on the team?
SJ - I try to lead by example. I work hard at practice and try to help the younger players.
HH - How have you changed from your freshman year to now, being a senior?
SJ - I think I've matured both on and off the field. Also, after having to sit out the entire season last year with mono, I think I've learned not to take anything for granted.
HH - So what does your final collegiate year have in store for you?
SJ - I think we're going to have a great season this year. We have, by far, the best team the program has ever had and we're all really dedicated to the team goals.

SJ - My parents.
HH - Do you have any superstitions before games?
SJ - I listen to the same song walking to the field before every game
HH - What song gets you pumped up before games?
SJ - Any rap song that Ingrid [Wells] makes me listen to when we're in the Team Room
HH - If you could be on any reality show, which one would you choose? Why?

SJ - All the nicknames he has for everyone are pretty funny
HH - What is the best/worst thing about living in D.C.?
SJ - The best part is that it's a big city and there's always something interesting to do. The worst part is the traffic.
HH - What is your "breakfast of champions?"
SJ - Karen, Vanessa and I go to the breakfast buffet in the hotel at Leavey before every game and get omelets, fruit, and lots of french toast
HH - If you could get front row tickets to any concert, now or in the past, which would it be?
